How to Earn Up to $100 For Just 5 Minutes Writing
By Ruth Barringham
When it comes to writing, time is money.
Being a writer can provide a great residual income, because writers aren’t always paid by the hour. In fact, most aren’t.
When we write an article or an ebook, we have no way of knowing how much money we can earn from it. But one thing is certain. The more you write, the more money you can earn.
Look at it this way: If you could write and publish an ebook a month, you could make 100 or more sales per month from each ebook.
But what if you published 2 ebooks a month or spent more time writing promotional articles and emails about each ebook? Can you see how doing more write can increase your income?
On the other hand, what if you don’t want to tackle such a big project as an ebook?
What if you you just want to do short writing projects?
When I first started writing seriously (and by that I mean I wanted to earn ALL my income from my writing so I turned it into a business instead of a hobby) I began by looking for quick ways to earn money as a writer.
One of the easiest things I found was how to earn up to $100 for just 5 minutes writing.
What I discovered were 2 ways to do it.
Firstly, readers’ letters in magazines.
They call them letters but in most magazines it’s just a short paragraph or two of writing about something funny that happened or a quick opinion on an article in a previous issue of the magazine.
I went to my local library and found hundreds of magazines and began scouring them for readers’ letters.
I came up with a few ideas, wrote them down quickly and when I got home I emailed them to the magazines.
And nearly all of them were published.
I was amazed. It only took 5 minutes to write and email each idea and it earned me several hundred dollars.
Secondly, I discovered Readers’ Digest jokes. These also pay up to $100 and they’re always looking for other humorous pieces from readers too.
Some of these only need to be quick letters or jokes.
You can also submit other ideas to magazines like short filler articles, lists of handy tips, feature articles, and often, short fiction as well.
So if you’re looking for a way to earn quick cash from your writing, browse a few magazines and you can earn money writing in just 5 minutes.
